Our objective is to target our country’s youth, the Global entrepreneurs of tomorrow, and help them enrich their lives by providing them with a holistic international experience which would help them in their future endeavors. This initiative will challenge their worldview and help them gain a unique combination of multi-cultural, social and entrepreneurial experience during the formative years of their lives.

Global Internship Program

AIESEC interns stand apart from the average young person, having gone through a life changing experience. It not only offers avenues for professional growth and learning but aims at developing culturally sensitive and socially responsible leaders for tomorrow. AIESEC handles all logistics pre-arrival as well as ongoing communication and community involvement for the intern for the duration of the placement.

Talent Pre-Selection

All candidates in AIESEC’s talent pool are selected based on their education, skills, language certifications, and leadership experience by a review board.

Needs Identification

Your students identifies the desired internship profile specifying education, languages, skills, work experience, geography, duration and timing needs.

Internship Selection/Placement

AIESEC will start offering short listed internship matching your mentioned preferences. The final decision is always yours.

Pre-Departure

AIESEC runs interns through cultural preparation, integrating and goal setting seminars.

Cultural Integration and Ongoing Services

This is a key characteristic that sets AIESEC’s program apart. Interns have an intense development experience through local community involvement. AIESEC facilitates service evaluations for the intern before, during and after.

Work Experience

Work Experience can help develop skills in communication and team working. It also helps a young person to decide if a work area is likely to be what they want. It also helps them realize their potential and reflect on their shortcomings if any.

Cultural Sensitivity

Cultural sensitivity is no longer limited to cultural exchange and promoting peace. As organizations go global so do the workplace. Tomorrows leaders need to understand and adapt to different cultures, as today’s teams consists of culturally diverse members. Working and leading such teams is more than team management.

The extent of globalization is beyond comprehension and it is bound to grow with every change in this dynamic world. Today’s problems are global on their impact and we need global solutions. The projects will the students to develop an global perspective and it can only be done once they move out of their comfort zones.

Enhancing Competencies/ Core Skills

GEP projects offers students to work in the projects with their chosen skill sets. The challenging environment that these projects provide will help students to develop on their competencies.

Awareness

Working on issues like Child Rights, CSR, HIV-AIDS, Cultural Exchange and Entrepreneurship helps students understand and confront these confounding global problems.

Entrepreneurial Advantage

It develops students into proactive global citizens with the ability to work in diverse and challenging environment. This develops them into socially responsible leaders of tomorrow having leadership experience

Ahmedabad is a vibrant city, not just because it’s government describes itso, but because it is an amalgam of a strong individualistic culture, a richand varied heritage and an indistinct sense of pride and sense of achievement among it’s people. It is the best place for one to start an enterprise and when AIESEC Ahmedabad was formed here in 1983, at the IndianInstitute of Management, Ahmedabad, there could not have been a more relevant organisation to the youth of the city.

Since being founded in 1983, AIESEC Ahmedabad has consistently strived to make youth leaders out of its membership, generating increasing volumes of experiences and consistently developing as a local chapter in this huge global phenomenon we know as AIESEC. We have a proud history of producing great leaders in this local committee(even a President of AIESEC India) and have steadily developed and grown as a local committee and have scripted into it’s legacy a fresh glory with each passing generation of young leaders that have developed through it.

AIESEC Ahmedabad in the year 2011 is an attitude, a different attitude, we have decided to embody change for the better management of the local committee and set about a sustainable base of operations to ensure some consistency in the way the organisation functions. As a local committee we endeavour to refine our processes and evolve them in a manner to which they can support a greater scale of operations and impact.

We here at AIESEC Ahmedabad are a stand for delivering quality experiences to our stakeholders for a better brand in the network with the help of scaled up and sustainable operations thus restoring our glory.

This is the guiding principle for us as members of this glorious local committee for the year 2011 and is something that will not allow us to lose direction as a local committee.

AIESEC Ahmedabad is at the end of the day a freshly scripted legacy sewn into the a rich and glorious history, we are a local committee that lives by values, is driven by passion and strives to deliver. We imbibe the change we wish to see in ourselves and strive to achieve a greater impact on society with each passing day as after all, it is what we STAND for today.
